The Lincoln NWS office has surveyed three more tornadoes. According to the Lincoln NWS office, that brings the number of reported tornadoes in Illinois up to 24. I counted 25 tornadoes across the state, based on reports posted on the web sites of the NWS covering Illinois. These numbers will settle down once all the analysis is done.
The Lincoln NWS office has posted an interactive map of the surveyed damage from the Washington IL EF-4.
Here are the three more tornadoes …
– An EF-1 tornado touched down on the north edge of Pana, and traveled 2.5 miles. It had a peak wind speed of 110 mph.
– An EF-1 tornado touched down 2.5 miles north-northeast of Tuscola, and traveled 5.2 miles before merging with the EF-3 tornado which passed just northwest of Villa Grove. This tornado had a peak wind speed of 100 mph.
– An EF-1 tornado, with winds of 100 mph, was confirmed in the village of West Liberty, in Jasper County. It was on the ground for 3.5 miles.
